SWEETS
The exhibition SWEETS, about Amsterdam’s bridge control buildings. Computerization of the bridges’ operating system means that these buildings will soon become redundant. The architectural office space&matter has examined the cultural and historical significance of Amsterdam’s bridge control buildings in relation to their unique transformation into hotel suites, interconnected by the city’s network of canals.
Studio KU+ has been involved to realize the 27 bridge control buildings in Amsterdam in scale 1:50.
